REINERTSEN has been awarded the detail engineering contract for all pipelines/flowlines including routing of the umbilicals.
The Snøhvit field development consists of three fields; Snøhvit, Albatross and Askeladd, and the development is divided into three phases. The first phase to be developed in 2005/2006 is the Snøhvit and Albatross fields. The Snøhvit and Albatross fields are located approximately 130 km northwest of the onshore LNG plant on Melkøya outside Hammerfest, Norway. The fields comprise four subsea templates with a total of nine gas wells and one CO2 gas injection well. The concept is sized for a wellstream production (gas and condensate) to the LNG plant. The wellstream will be transported to the LNG plant via the infield flowlines and the main pipelines to shore. The C02 from the wellstream will be transported back to Snøhvit field for re-injection via the CO2 pipeline. MEG, hydraulic, chemicals, power and communication will be transported to the field via the MEG pipeline, the service line, the main and infield umbilicals.
REINERTSEN Engineering has been awarded the detail engineering contract for all pipelines/flowlines including routing of the umbilicals. The battery limits are at the first dry weld onshore and at the inboard hubs on the templates and PLEM/CDU.
That means that the tie-in spools are part of the engineering scope. In addition to typical detail engineering activities, where pipeline routing and seabed intervention work are main elements for potential cost savings, activities like potential hot tap Tees, pigging and compression design evaluations are part of the work.
