The scope of work covers all disciplines within subsea production systems, including safety valves/Christmas trees, wellheads, maintenance tools, control systems, multiphase flow, flow lines, risers, control cables, non-diving connections and subsea structures.
REINERTSEN is assigned the FEED (Front End Engineering and Design) which consist of a complete plan for the subsea development of the Maria field in the Norwegian sea. The customer is Wintershall Norway AS, which is an operator of the field. Wintershall is Germany's largest oil and gas company with business all over the world.
For REINERTSEN the project represents a milestone in the company's ongoing commitment to subsea development.
REINERTSEN has more than 30 years of experience from pipelines, risers and subsea structures, and over 15 years of experience with topside EPC and MMO projects. The Maria project gives REINERTSEN the possibility to combine the expertise from these areas in new and exciting market niche. So far the subsea suppliers have dominated this market. The British-Norwegian engineering company Xodus is REINERTSEN's subcontractor.
The company now offers services within three areas of subsea: Studies/FEED, EPC of underwater installations and modifications/repair. REINERTSEN will continue to be a product independent supplier of services to the oil and gas companies.
REINERTSEN Oil and gas has departments in Trondheim, Orkanger, Bergen, Hammerfest, Murmansk and Sweden.
The Maria project will be led from the main office Trondheim.
